Mushroom Butter

  • 1 oz Dried Mushrooms
  • 1 Tbsp Onion chopped
  • 3 cups water
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp soy
  • 8 oz softened butter


Wash and rinse dried mushrooms.  Combine the onions, mushrooms, water, salt, sugar and soy in a sauce pan and bring to a boil.  Simmer 20 minutes. 


Remove mushrooms and onions and blend in a food processor.  Add as much mushroom liquid as necessary to make a smooth medium thick puree.  While the puree is warm blend in the butter.
