Kristi's Breaded Mushrooms

Our favorite, with tomato sauce.  Our favorite, with tomato sauce. Parmesan style.  Parmesan style.

This is one of my favorites!  Kristi invented this recipe.  



  • 16oz Shiitake/Oyster pieces
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 3tbsp milk
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 3 cups olive oil

Clean the mushrooms and remove the stems from the Shiitake.  Wisk the milk and eggs together.  Place the flour in one bowl, the egg and milk mixture in another, and the breadcrumbs in another.  

Cover each mushroom in flour.  Dredge it through the egg and cover in breadcrumbs.  Drop the pieces in the hot oil.  Cook each side 1-2 minutes or until they are golden brown.  Serve them with a creative sauce!
